Recenntly one of my single friend asked me a mind blogging question .. how does it feel when people tak eyou for being married..? suddenly this topic.. some background. i got maried at age of 24 years.. it as a typical indian arranged marriage.Being the only girl child in family, i got married very soon.. me working in field of applications where we have to travel quiet frequently to different places to meet the requirement of each application and cater different fieldsbeing the only married girl in bunch of young boys and few girls .. i have listed a few things how i am being treated as i am the only married person in office in ladies staff….
1. Picnic plans are made and everyone forgets you to ask would you like to join us.
2. Every weekend is for cleaning and scrubbing and taking care of inlaws in taken for granted and bosses and other staff feel obliged to ask for working extra in office on weekends…
3. You are the target for stupidest joke in lunch time
4. Whenever any concert or party planning is going on, conventionallly it is onlyfor the single and married should not interfere…
5. Everyone will take you for granted to bring breakfast for them in morning by saying anyways you are making for 2 people why not add some and make for 5 people……
6. no epxectations that you will turn up all dressed for party.. there is always wrong makeup wrong matching if you are married .. if you still wear a red shoe with black jeans its fashion but same if married women wears it is fashion disaster…
7. Expected that your hubby will call you in lunch time no matter what…
8. If you say you are tiired … everyone winks and smiles………………..
9. You are expected to run always early from office as you have to cook,clean scrub for family no matter even though you leave office at 8.00pm
10. even though you are talking on phone with X person bosses turn around and look as if you are romancing your hubby in office hours.
11. You are not given a more often outdoor jobs as you have reponsibilities… though you never complained.
12. You are called expired product more often…..
13. If you are talking to some one for more than 15 mins .. apart from office work, you are called a flirt…
14. if yo complain a small ache or take leave, every1 expects its good news..
